Welcome to our project!

"A Breeze of Italian in the West of Ireland" is a project carried out by the Italian Discipline at the University of Galway, Ireland.
It stems from the need and desire to strengthen our relationship with the local communities and schools in Galway City. It also has the ambitious aim to bring a breeze of Italian along the Atlantic Way, beyond the borders of Galway County.
We hope that this project will serve as a springboard and showcase for a bright and long future for Italian Studies, as well as a way of thanking those who have supported, stimulated, and encouraged us in the pursuit of our goals.
Above, you will find a range of initiatives, divided into target groups, that we hope will be of interest to you.
The project is generously funded by the University of Galway Languages Connect and Post Primary Language Ireland (PPLI). It is also sponsored by the Istituto di Cultura Italiana di Dublino.
